Education Tax credits vs Vouchers - picture

Here is a shot of last week's speakers - Barbara Howe and Mike Munger. It was agreat meeting, with about 18-20 folks vigorously discussing the benefits - and risks - of voucher and tax credit systems in opening up opportunities for education in NC.

Description:

Jeff Badalucco will be our special guest - he will be asking for our help in this spring's Marijuana Rally in downtown Raleigh.

This will be mostly a social/dinner meeting; but I'm sure a lively discussion will strike up with Jeff around.

I hope to see many of you there - sorry for the short notice!

SPECIAL WAKELP MEETING

Sorry for the short notice, but remember we meet -every- Thursday at Tir Na Nog at 6:30 (7ish) for dinner, drinks, and conversation.

Tax credits vs Vouchers with Barbara Howe and Mike Munger.

Barbara Howe, long time Libertarian Party activist and former LP candidate for governor of NC, will discuss the benefits of tuition tax credits for funding education in NC.

Mike Munger, Chair of the Political Science Department at Duke University, and currently a candidate for the LP nomination for governor, will discuss his plan of school vouchers for
education funding.

Barbara and Mike will each speak briefly and then discussion will be opened, so come prepared to engage in some lively discussion!

This event will be held at Tir Na Nog starting at around 7pm. Come early to get a seat and allow enough time to order dinner and drinks if you wish.
